Enhance your blogging experience with ScribeFire
If you are a blogger and use Firefox you definitely need ScribeFire addon. This awesome tool is great if you wish post a blog article while you watch another web page, or from some other reason you can’t or don’t want to use the Wordpress interface. This extension supports the following blog platforms:
You can install this addon and post your first article in no more than 2 minutes. It doesn’t require any kind of web development (php, css, html, js, etc) knowledge.
You just need to input your blog’s address and of course your username and password (you don’t need to worry about security issues because it’s perfectly safe). You can choose to manually set up the connection with your blog or you can have it done fully automatically by ScribeFire as it detects your blog platform. After the connection is successfully established information such as tags, posts, pages, etc are imported from your blog.
A wonderful feature that ScribeFire has is that it allows you to use it in another tab, window or you can split your window in half (similar to FireBug). Also ScribeFire is written to support addons itself and themes but for the moment they are unavailable.
Another great thing about this addon is that after you log into your del.icio.us account (via a form it provides, also perfectly secured) before you post your article you can choose to bookmark it at del.icio.us, tag it at Technorati and here comes the biggest candy of them all: you can choose to ping all or some of the following portals:
That way you make sure you let everyone know about your great article and even improve your blog’s traffic. I can’t do anything else but invite you to at least test this GREAT Firefox addon. ScribeFire integrates an option in the right-click menu of Firefox so when you find a great page and wish to blog it you just need to righ-click on it and choose ScribeFire -> Blog this page. Let’s not forget about the intuitive FTP module that’s also available. If you encounter any problems of any kind or you just want to request a cool feature you can head over to the forums.
